About Us
What do we do?
Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc. is a registered charity funded by Families and Community Services to provide families in the local community with support.
Support can take many forms, whether you would just like to connect with other people in the community and attend one of our friendship groups, or you are struggling with something that is troubling you and feels insurmountable. Crossroads is here to help those struggling in our community for whatever reason, whatever your background or circumstances, and at the very least, lend a supportive ear.
Crossroads can also provide the following specialised centre based services:
 Electricity Assistance
 Work and Development Orders
 Tax help
 Family Services
 Access to Safe and Affordable Accommodation
 Domestic Violence Work
 Family Violence Work
Our specially trained staff also run Community Workshops on topics such as:
 Coping with Overwhelming Feelings
 Improving Communication
 Handling Difficult People/Situations
 Coping with Emotional Pain
 Dealing with Anger
 Maintaining Self Esteem
 and many more
If you are struggling with abuse in your life, we can offer counselling, support groups and workshops to assist you with single or multiple abuse issues. These issues might include:
 Domestic Violence
 Incest
 Parent Abuse and Elder Abuse
 Child Abuse and
 Sexual Assault
Individual counselling, parenting counselling and play therapy for parents and their children is also available at Crossroads for children who have witnessed or experienced violence and abuse and all is provided by our trained and experienced staff.

The parenting programs we are able to run include:
 PARKAS (Parents are responsible, kids are safe)
 Circle of Security
 The Incredible Years
 1-2-3 Magic and
 Bringing up Great Kids
We also have groups that meet regularly at Crossroads. They are the University of The Third Age French and History groups, Book Club, Scrabble Group and AlAnon. These groups use our meeting room and facilities to conduct their business and we are always looking for more groups to set up.
The current membership fees are $5 general and $2 pensioners. Members are welcome to increase their membership contribution to enable Crossroads to build a stronger and more sustainable service for the future.
