Apogee Tasmania - Andew Pirie. Apogee is a small production Vineyard and Single Vineyard Origin label located 30 minutes North of Launceston where the wines are 100% grown and the sparkling wine is disgorged on the property. Andrew Pirie, founder of Pipers Brook, Ninth Island and Pirie sparkling labels, is an expert on wine terroir and vineyard site selection, holds Australia's first PhD in viticulture and has used his experience to select the Apogee site.
