塔省中文学校创建于1997年，是一所非宗教、非盈利性的民族社区学校。塔斯玛尼亚位于澳洲最南部，景色宜人，是一个美丽的小岛。人口稀少，尤以华人更甚，十三年来经该校师生共同努力使年招生量递增，报读该校的学生以华人背景及非华人背景各占一半，是塔省 HOBART 市唯一的一所中文学校。塔省中文学校的老师全部来自中国大陆，他们具有多年在中国和澳洲教授中文的丰富经验及拥有很高的学历，部分教师还具有正规的师范学历。几年来学校分批送老师去中国接受中国国务院侨办举办的教师培训班接受更进一步的正规培训。该校的办学目
