The BCA Group comprises BCA Consultants and their Affiliates, with offices throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. This strongly developed network provides experienced, qualified engineers in all Building Services Disciplines able to undertake major projects in any location throughout the Australasian region. The Group operates from premises in Cordelia Street, South Brisbane, Queensland and from its office in Perth with a total staff of approximately 75 personnel under the direct control and administration of its resident Directors and Associate Directors in each State. BCA Consultants provides the full range of building services disciplines including Mechanical, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Vertical Transportation, Fire and Life Safety, Hospital, Energy Management, Industrial, Security, Communications and Building Code Consulting. We also provide experienced specialist input in the critical areas of energy auditing and management, E.S.D., commissioning, contract administration, quality control, and ongoing service and maintenance aspects of our clients' buildings. Hydraulic Services can also be provided if a total “one-stop” package is preferred. The Practice is based upon not only a wide range of consulting experience amongst our directors and senior staff, but also a very practical and commercial approach to engineering problems based on additional experience which many of our senior personnel and Directors have gained in contracting and manufacturing within the building industry. As a result of this practical aspect of our experience and background, combined with our good relationships with a wide range of contracting organisations, we are able to design systems which are technically appropriate and to a low finished cost. This experience also enables very accurate budgeting and can if required be developed to a point where budgets carry a trade endorsed level of cost assurance. We have consistently demonstrated significant savings to Clients on a wide variety of project types. From the technical viewpoint our Practice is amongst the most progressive and modern in Australia, and to support our team of qualified engineers we provide a very comprehensive suite of computer based engineering and energy programmes as well as drawing offices employing the most modern networked CAD computer drafting facilities available. Our front office, administration, QA and Accounts Departments are equally well supported with fully networked computer facilities. All of our designers and drafters are fully trained in CAD skills as well as manual documentation techniques in all disciplines greatly improving co-ordination and interfacing. Our Practice and its directors are fully accredited with all Federal and State Government instrumentalities, as well as the Department of Primary Industry and Energy as energy audit review consultants. A high proportion of our staff are Institution Members and Fellows and several are Registered Professional Engineers in Queensland and registered Building Practitioners in Victoria. The Practice has attained Industry Best Practice QA Accreditation with Queensland State Government (PQC3).
